Ooh babe, we’ve all been there! Hot water, dish soap (or dr.bronners or the worst shampoo), frequent washing (although still condition it so it doesn’t feel like total caca), and if that doesn’t help or doesn’t work fast enough, go see a professional who can help you get where you want to go while still maintaining the health and strength and integrity of your hair, and so you don’t give up and dye it black out of disappointment or desperation.

We’re having a big backyard barbecue that is also kind of our OFFICIAL house warming party, even though we moved in months ago. We’re just finally getting everything set up and presentable enough to show to our not just immediate friends. We’re gonna dig a fire pit and hopefully set up a slip n slide, too. We will also, hopefully, have lots of friends from out of town visiting, too, so it will be FRESH MEAT and make it even more fun!
How we make parties fun at our house:
-make everyone bring something so you’re not spending hundreds of dollars and ending up broke with nothing to eat the next day. Assign people chips, beer, briquettes, whatever. Everyone bring something. No question.
-make people dress up! Fourth of July has the best color scheme, and it’s usually hot, so you can wear the smallest shorts! That way, you can always have part of the fun be taking silly pictures!
-loosely have something planned for after, so if it gets boring or you get stressed out or all the beer is gone, you can have a reason to kick everyone out, like “OKAY LET’S GO WATCH THE FIREWORKS AT THE STADIUM NOW” or “OKAY I NEED TO GO TO THIS OTHER PARTY.” You can always not do your afterparty plans, but it’s harder to get people motivated when you’re already in the midst of it.
If your guests aren’t having fun and you’re givin’ them cupcakes and bbq, that’s their problem! I say, if you wanna do it, do it, even if only 4 people come, you can have THE BEST TIME! Wear a good outfit and take lots of pictures for me! <3
